The Art of Feeling Alive: Pleasure, Adrenaline, and Well-being Through Sports

Dear diary…

Today, as I was putting on my leggings and pulling them up my legs to go to Pilates, I was thinking about the many facets of this passion for movement that I enjoy so much. I’m one of those people who’d rather try something for myself than just hear about it, always looking for new ways to unwind from stress through exercise and find the perfect balance between discipline and pleasure.

Padel: Teamwork, Rhythm, and Passion on the Court

Remembering that sound when you open a can of padel balls… what a burst of energy! That unmistakable sound is the prelude to playing with passion. The feeling of playing padel is unique: you start hitting that ball, focusing all your attention on it. Accompanying it with a slow, smooth yet intense movement, and suddenly, quick movements to keep the ball from getting away. Giving the racket that burst of explosive power while communicating with your partner… because we mustn’t forget that it’s played in pairs, with someone you share a bond with—understanding each other with just a glance.

Diving: My Underwater Adventure

On the other hand, this year I also took the plunge and tried scuba diving. I got my Open Water certification, and I still remember that nervous excitement as I felt myself sinking deeper and deeper. A smile of excitement spreads across my face as I recall that sensation of feeling my fingers wrinkle from being underwater while I kick slowly, watching small schools of fish swim by together. It’s an incredible way to push personal boundaries, feeling the currents and letting yourself be enveloped by the water, which pulls you in without you even realizing it. Pure connection between body and mind in the blue silence.

Pilates: The Art of Flow and Connecting with the Body

Another great discovery for me has been Pilates. I started out motivated by the benefits of Pilates and body control that I’d always heard about, but I never imagined how much being on the mat would relax me. Listening to your body, feeling how your muscles arch and stretch in different poses, or holding your balance as you move and glide on the ball… it’s like dancing with it so it doesn’t slip away while you keep stretching. Your muscles warm up, and it feels like they’re gradually lengthening a little more each time, connecting with slow, gentle breathing.

Golf: The Joy of Precision and the Perfect Swing

And what can I say about my latest adventure: a trial golf lesson. I admit I went in thinking it was all about technique, but I discovered a game of silence, absolute concentration, and… precision. That sensation of aligning your body, feeling the perfect swing, and hearing that solid “click” as the ball shoots off… It’s almost an art. A fascinating lesson in how controlled force—not brute force—achieves the most spectacular results. Without a doubt, one of those exclusive, premium experiences that get you hooked.

Fitness: The Addictive Heat of Inner Energy

But it’s not all about stretching. There’s also that part of my fitness routine—weight training. It’s my anchor. For me, it’s not just about lifting weights; it’s an act of discipline and self-awareness. It’s a direct dialogue with my body—feeling how each muscle engages, warms up, and becomes more defined… how the energy flows. I love feeling that controlled tension, that delightful fatigue that reminds you that you’re alive and that you’re sculpting every curve. A sensation… addictive, key to well-being and to feeling absolutely irresistible

Pure Adrenaline: The Freedom to Fly

And my repertoire wouldn't be complete without an air sport—that's where my perhaps wildest side comes out. I’ve also tried paragliding and skydiving. It’s such a magical experience that I can’t describe it in words; it’s something truly unique. Feeling that rush of adrenaline, that sense of freedom, and that surge of endorphins that makes you forget everything else so you can focus on the wind caressing your face. It’s an experience filled with moments of pure magic.

In the end, each of these disciplines gives me something different. From adrenaline to control, from strength to precision. I suppose, dear diary, that all of this is simply my way of celebrating the fact that I’m alive, always seeking that spark of pleasure and passion in everything I do.
